SSR will proudly be supporting cultural bushwalks within the Sutherland Shire. During these walks, participants will have the opportunity to engage with First Nations knowledge, including the relationship between the land, plants, animals, and the cultural significance of the area.

About the event

**Please be aware that the dates and locations for the walks are yet to be finalised. Each seasonal walk will be updated with precise timing, location and meeting point. The current times correspond to the Darawal seasons.


SSR will soon proudly offer cultural bushwalks throughout the Sutherland Shire, covering locations like National Parks, Council Reserves, Crown Land, ANSTO, and Local Aboriginal Land Councils.


During the walks, participants will have the opportunity to engage with First Nations knowledge, including the relationship between the land, plants, animals, and the cultural significance of the area. Graham Avery will guide participants through this experience, sharing insights into natural areas knowledge and the deep connection First Nations peoples have to the environment.


These bushwalks are a meaningful form of reconciliation in action, providing a unique opportunity for participants to learn about First Nations people’s connections to Country. Through this experience, the participants will gain a…
