NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service invite you to celebrate Aboriginal culture and heritage at a free NAIDOC week event at Ironbark Flat picnic area in Audley. Join us for a day of family-friendly activities in the beautiful Royal National Park.

About the event

Book your free tickets and join the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service for a free NAIDOC week event at Audley in Royal National Park on Dharawal Country. This family friendly event will celebrate Aboriginal culture and heritage with a range of activities and presentations guided by NPWS staff and special guests.


Gather outside the Royal National Park Visitor Centre at Audley to start the day with an Acknowledgement of Country.


You'll then be guided through activities, workshops and presentations about this year's NAIDOC week theme which is 'The next generation: Strength, vision and legacy'.


Learn about local Aboriginal totems, artefacts, and bush tucker. Try your hand at traditional weaving. Hear stories about working in national parks and the unique native plants and animals of the area. Special guests Aunty Sugar and Aunty Calita Murray will talk about their experiences and deep connection to Country.
