PARTY PROTEST REMEMBER

In 2017 The Referendum Council called for a constitutionally entrenched First Nations Voice to parliament through the Uluru Statement from the Heart. In 2022, Prime Minister Albanese announced that the nation will get to vote through a national referendum. On Sat 12 Nov, Carriageworks will present a citizen’s assembly, led by author Thomas Mayor, for community to discuss a First Nations Voice to Parliament and what it means to us all. This is your opportunity to present questions and engage in a participatory discussion with others about this historic event.

To learn more go to the Uluru Statement from the Heart.

Or register to attend the event via the Carriageworks website.

Sutherland Shire Reconciliation acknowledges the Dharawal language speaking people of the Gweagal and Norongerragal clans, as the traditional custodians of the lands within the Sutherland Shire. We are grateful for their immemorial care of the lands and waterways on which we live and work.
