Servant or Slave Presentation

On 31 May 2025, in partnership with Sutherland Shire Council, we screened the film " Servant or Slave", hosted by Hazelhurst Art Gallery as part of honoring Reconciliation Week.

Directed by Steven McGregor, the film follows the stories of several Indigenous Australians who share their stories of being part of the Stolen Generations. An honest and respectful discussion between the audience and Indigenous members of our committee followed the film. It was such an enriching experience.

We look forward to building on this event in the years to come.

Sutherland Shire Reconciliation acknowledges the Dharawal language speaking people of the Gweagal and Norongerragal clans, as the traditional custodians of the lands within the Sutherland Shire. We are grateful for their immemorial care of the lands and waterways on which we live and work.
